Earlwood’s Little Wanderers Come Out To Play.

Earlwood Wanderers Football Club launched its new Little Wanderers program earlier this year, developed for boys and girls aged 2-5 years, aimed at introducing them to the early learning principles of football along with increasing their physical and social development.

“I am so proud of this program”, says Jim Tatsis, Earlwood’s Club Secretary, shown front and centre in group photo with three of the Club’s youngest ever players huddled around him. “It’s all about providing great coaching, an inclusive environment regardless of age and a place to play and learn”.

The impact of the program on the young Wanderers is best summed up by the following, “...[he] has not wanted to take off his outfit for a few days now. He has slept in his socks, shorts and jersey. He can’t wait for Saturday to come round again”.

For more information on the Little Wanderers and other EWFC programmes,
visit EWFC’s website www.ewfc.com.au, or email the secretary.

Save Our Surfaces

Football NSW have produced a flyer which includes some hints on how coaches can help to maintain the quality of our playing fields. The flyer can be downloaded here:

Look Out

Parents!! please note as the season progresses we will progressively have earlier twilight times at Earlwood Oval, Hughes Park and Beaman Park during training. With less light, visibility is greatly reduced, and the carpark is full of children who may not always behave safely and predictably. Please slow down to accommodate these safety concerns, and watch out, kids about! Being on-time for training (or leaving quickly afterwards) is not important enough to justify risking our childrens' lives.
